Dr. Alice Okore is a Deputy University Librarian at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, University of Nigeria, Nsukka. She is a chartered Librarian and a member of the Information and Technology Section of Nigerian Library Association. She had a  PhD in  Library and Information Science  from University of Nigeria, Nsukka  in 2010;  Masters Degree in Library Science (MLS), University of  Nigeria, Nsukka in 1998;  Master of Education (M. Ed), University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1990; Bachelor of Arts in Librarianship from Canberra  College of Advanced Education (now University of Camberra,  Australia)  in 1978.  Her research interests include indigenous knowledge management, application of information skills in use of mobile technology, e-resources management, information technologies and collection development in Nigeria and library use in childhood education.  Okore is an astute researcher who has published several articles in educational/professional journals  in both local and international journals. She is computer literate and has acquired the necessary skills required for the job. She has garnered a lot of experience from working in different sections of the Library. She has recently been appointed the Manager of the Dspace and Koha projects in the University Library. She has also at different points been appointed chairman of committees such as Library Departmental  Research Committee and Library Committee on Establishment of a Library based departmental journal.
