Ifeoma Martina Ogiri

Ifeoma was born in the noble family of late Chief Johnson Onujioha and Lolo Monica Oriji Ugwu in Orba Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State. She is the fourth child from a family of eight and second girl child of the family. She is married to Ugwonna Jude V. and their marriage is blessed with children. Ify, as popularly known and addressed by the family and friends is currently a Principal Library Officer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, University of Nigeria Nsukka. Her educational career started at Ekwe-Esue primary School and Girls secondary school both in Owerre –Eze Orba in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State. She later obtained her first degree in Adult Education and Administration and Masters degree in Library and Infromation Science both at the University of Nigeria Nsukka. She joined the service of the University in the year 2001 and has worked in various sections of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Library namely Acquisition, Cataloguing, Circulation, Africana and currently in Serials Scetion Division. Her duties include: downloading electronic resources, library consultancy services, assisting in acquisition of local and foreign journals, assisting library users to search for information materials in Serials, training of IT students, shelving and shelve reading, processing acquired journals for easy assessment, keeping of user statistics of used journals, filling and writing of kardex card entries. Ify is a member of the library digitization team currently populating the University of Nigeria institutional repository using Dspace.
