Ferdinand C. Ugwuanyi (Ph.D) [Principal Librarian]

Ugwuanyi Chijioke Ferdinand is a Nigerian from  Nsukka in Nsukka local Government Area, in Enugu State, Nigeria.  He is currently a principal librarian and Head of Readers services (circulation) unit of Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, University of Nigeria, Nsukka.  He holds B. SC Degree in (Library and information Science/Biology) and MLS (Masters in Library and Information Science) of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and is currently a PhD student in library and information science Department of the same university.   He is an academic and chartered librarian of Nigeria.  He teaches “ The use of library and Study Skills (GSP 111)” in the UNN. He has published several articles in international and local journals of library and information science and other journals.  He belongs to some library and information science professional bodies such as chartered institute of library and information professional (CLIP,2011) London;  Nigeria Library Association (NLA);  Cataloguing, Classification and Indexing section of Nigeria Library Association.

His research interest is in cataloging and classification in the digital age, library administration and management.  His hobbies include reading, listening to News (Radio, TV, Internet and music. His current research is on “Organizational Readiness for the Implementation of Resources Description and Access (RDA) in Nigeria University Libraries”.
